Lonar lake water turns "pink"
Buldana, June 10 (Good Evening City): Today, the water of the world famous Lonar Lake suddenly turned pink ... Thousands of citizens of Lonar had gathered in a single crowd to see this pink look of the lake. Many wondered why the green and blue lake turned pink, and many wondered. Meanwhile, Tehsildar Saidan Nadaf visited the lake and inspected it. Research is underway into what caused the water to change color. In a series of natural disasters, first corona, then locusts, then hurricanes, earthquakes, does the pink water of the lake indicate any other crisis? Some curious people have started thinking in this direction too. Lake Lonar, formed by meteorites, is the second largest saltwater lake in the world.
Have to be tested in Lab ... and take precautionsionary measures before use it for any App.
Reasons why Lonar lake water turns pink:
The salt water in the lake causes algae in the water
1) Increased temperature in summer.
2) Abundant availability of sunlight
3) Lack of rain water
For these three reasons, algae produce a pigment called beta carotene in its photosynthesis process, which causes the water to turn pink.
These are the usual processes that occur in algae due to these hot temperatures so there is nothing to be afraid of. Water is not harmful.
